From Under Contract to Sold: What Really Happens Behind the Scenes

People see the "For Sale" sign.

They see the photos online.

They see the "Under Contract" sign.

Then, a few weeks later, they see "SOLD."

What they don't see are the dozens of conversations, the problem-solving, the waiting, and the moments where everyone has to decide whether they're going to work toward a solution or let the deal fall apart.

This week reminded me of that.

I had one of the more challenging transactions of my career. There were unexpected hurdles, last-minute requests, changing circumstances, and more phone calls and emails than I could count. There were moments when it would have been easy to become frustrated.

Instead, I kept asking myself one question:

"What's the next best step for my clients?"

Sometimes that's negotiating.

Sometimes it's educating.

Sometimes it's having hard conversations.

Sometimes it's simply listening while your clients process everything that's happening.

At the end of the day, that's what they hired me to do.

When I finally received the email that said "FULLY FUNDED," I didn't celebrate because the transaction was over.

I celebrated because my clients made it to the finish line.

That's always the goal.

Every transaction is different. Some are smooth from beginning to end. Others test everyone's patience. But every one of them deserves an agent who communicates, stays engaged, and never loses sight of the goal.

Real estate isn't about perfect transactions.

It's about helping people move forward.

And after this one, I can tell you with confidence...

That part of the job never gets old.

Every transaction has a story. I'd be honored to help write yours.

Whether you're buying your first home, selling the one you've loved for years, or simply wondering what your next move could look like, I'm here to help.

Let's start with a conversation.
